Even though the goal was to produce something that looked like videos made by a kid, the reality was this was a grown-man with a team of people behind him. MTV signs him up. We have heat and we never have to worry about freezing to death. Not bad for a show that has cherubim-faced Andy skipping up to strangers and telling them, thanks for not stabbing me. Writing and appearing in bits was exhausting.
I really hate myself.

He loved it until he found out the guy was 30 -- and the show was scripted. Look, I'm a pretty savvy media consumer. A few minutes into our conversation, I felt guilty for ever wondering, but the answer is this: Why do you have to always pressure me? Not bad for a show that has cherubim-faced Andy skipping up to strangers and telling them, thanks for not stabbing me.
