About the privatization of the digital contents, putting up our cultural heritage for sale.

What should be the attitude of libraries and public collections to the media adjusted conditions of delivery and attainment of the digital rights. The question of financing the technology of digital preservation in libraries. Is there effective cooperation with public service media for the protection and disclosure of digital heritage? Digital accessibility and the censuring of our cultural heritage: anomalies in demising of the cultural heritage. Manipulation? If so, can we influence it?

Librarians on web.

Can any application based on web 2.0 (social networking: blogs, wikis, RSS, bookmarking) be integrated into library setting? Exploitation of all the potential of the Web in the training of librarians, namely what kind of knowledge of computer science do we need? Librarian or weblibrarian maybe information specialist? The library as a community space: arrangement of space for communal function. The introduction of the catalogue of UTCA and the generation catalogues (VideoDB, Koha, Evergreen).

Renewed country. New libraries?

New library innovation plans, new operative programmes, new strategy.

Library matters between 2008 and 2013. What are the possibilities offered by the National Development Plan’s operative programme containing two prospects of source for library expansion? How can we utilize them most effectively? Alone or together, cooperating with each other? We are seeking answers to the questions: what are the strong and weak points of the new strategic plan, what sort of opportunities can it offer and what are the perils that it ought to exhort us about.

What can higher education give to students and by them to libraries? To what extent will student finished in the Bologna system be prepared for their profession? What and how should be taught in the schools? What kind of professionals or specialists do different libraries need? What are the basic preferences? What do experiences show, what is the value of a degree and how useful is it? Let us teach what is needed and learn what is needed from those who need it. Get to know the emitting institutes and plan our human politics consciously.
